Xin Mu

Co-advised with Prof. David Go

Xin joined the MEMT group in Fall 2012 as a Ph.D. student. He graduated from the Department of Physics at University of Science and Technology, China, 2012. He works on the molecular dynamics simulation of thermal transport in two dimensional materials.


Xufei joined the MEMT group in Fall 2012 as a Ph.D. student. He graduated from the Department of Physics at Shanghai Jiaotong University, China, 2012. He works on the molecular dynamics simulation and first-principles calculation of thermal transport in crystals.


Shirui joined the MEMT group in Fall 2013 as a Ph.D. student. He graduated from the Department of Energy and Power Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University, China, 2013. He works on experimental study of directional solvent extraction desalination.


Yunsong joined the MEMT group in spring 2014 as a M.S. student. He graduated from the Department of Energy and Power Engineering at Liaoning University of Technology, 2013. He experimental fabrication and measurement of polymer composites.


Jiaji Guo joined the MEMT group in Fall 2014. He got his bachelor degree from Department of Modern Mechanics at University of Science and Technology of China in July 2012. Jiaji Guo is currently focusing his research on water desalination with directional solvent extraction method.


Zeyu joined the MEMT group as a Ph.D. student. He has got his bachelor degree in physics at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, 2015. His research is about the first principles calculation on thermal conductivity of 2-dimensional materials.


Xingfei joined the MEMT group as a Ph.D. student. He has got his bachelor degree at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, 2010, and master degree at University of Arkansas, USA, 2012. He is studying the mechanism of thermal transport in polymers, and the development of polymers with high thermal conductivity.

Jorge joined MEMT group in Spring 2015 as a Ph.D. student. He comes from dual degree program between University of Notre Dame and Pontifical Universidad Catolica de Chile. He works on the studies of micro and nanoscale heat transfer in semiconductor materials for energy conversion using numerical and experimental methods for nanoscale problems.

Dezhao Huang

Dezhao joined MEMT group as a PhD student. He has got his dual bachelor degree at China University of petroleum(huadong) and Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2016. He is studying the thermal transport and hydrodynamics of nano particle-induced local evaporation process and combine MD simulation and theory to model the nano bubble formation and dynamics.
